Green sea turtle
Chelonia mydas

Green sea turtles are named after the greenish color of their cartilage and fat. They can be found in tropical and subtropical waters, but are currently classified as an endangered species. According to WWF, they're mostly threatened by overharvesting of their eggs, hunting of adults, fisheries, and loss of nesting sites.
