Scientific Illustration

and wildlife art

Scientific illustration happens when art meets science to visually communicate relevant information while retaining scientific accuracy and captivating aesthetics. Equally important as a photograph but with a different purpose, an illustration allows for selection, simplification, and clarification of the portrayed information. It may include either classical descriptive, intricate drawings or take a more naturalistic approach, depending on its final purpose.
